CH Rose Farms Rough and Ready W (CH Westphal's Timber ex a daughter of CH Rose Farms Moon Rockette) was the first Champion Wirehair here. I co-owned him with Karen Mays and he finished with Specialty majors. He was a very sound and typy little dog and was a great introduction to this Variety.

CH Rose Farms Gypsy Moth W was a littermate to Rough and Ready and also beautiful in type with one of the most pleasing personalities ever. After finishing here, she became the first Champion Dachshund to reside with John Brading and Lon Strauch of Bradauch Dachshunds and was the first of many winners there. She produced their first homebred Specialty winner and was a much loved part of their household.

CH Rose Farms Jay Ar W was the third of the littermates we got back in 1980 and also had a successful show career with Specialty Majors and lots of wins on the way to his title. He was very different in type from his littermates and had a much harsher coat that really approached the ideal.

CH Rose Farms Nathan v Boondox MW was our first foray into Miniature breeding. He was sired by CH Rose Farms Yukon Jack MW-a littermate to CH Kanawha's Teddy of Rose Farm MW.
Nathan finished in a flash and won Best of Variety at NMDC Mini Expo under MW breeder Pat Wynne. He had a "to die for" coat and a dynamite personality.
|
CH Rose Farms Nancy v Boondox MW was Nathan's littermate and was a real bundle of energy in the ring, so much so that her photos do not really do her justice. She was BOS to her brother at Mini Expo and was a multiple Group Placer, but really proved her worth when she became the Foundation Bitch of Sheila Parish's Rosethorn Mini wires. Her daughter, CH Rosethorn Easy Answer MW, was BW at DCA and Sheila bred her wisely enough to earn her ROMX, no small feat for a Miniature.
|
CH Boondox Nifty Ned MW was the third littermate who also finished his Championship quite handily with several BV's from the classes along the way. He was also WD at the Mini Expo under Judge, Pat Wynne. Ned was owned by Lorna Ludwig of St Louis.
|
CH Jeric's Danielle W was definitely the most notable Wire here at Boondox. Thanks to the generosity and friendship of Frances Colonna, I was able to finish her Championship at DCA. We then decided to Special her and she came back to win BV and BOS-B at DCA 1989. During '89, I specialled her extensively and she only garnered one loss all year. She is still the template I compare Wires bitches to and we still miss her around here.

CH Kanawha's Katydid v Boondox W was a Danielle daughter that was finished exclusively at Specialties. She was also RWB at DCA from the puppy class. She was a small, typy bitch who was as sound as she was correct. Her daughter, Boondox Nancy W, has produced some very nice breed downs for Sheila Parish.
